Jumpstarting a Dormant Auto Retail Brand: How we turned 15 pieces of content and $300 ad spend into 1.4M views

Before partnering with us, this auto retail store was stuck in digital neutral. They have been doing the same social media marketing that just doesn’t work for the past 3 years.


Despite offering a wide range of auto parts, repair services, and accessories, their online presence barely moved the needle. Their Instagram feed was filled with plain product shots—static, catalog-style visuals that failed to capture attention or spark conversation.

 

There was no rhythm to their social media marketing, no personality behind their posts, and no engagement from the audience. What should have been a thriving hub for car enthusiasts and loyal customers instead felt like an empty showroom—quiet, uninviting, and easily overlooked.

 

This is the story of how we helped them shift gears—transforming their social media into an engine for brand recognition, community engagement, and business growth.

The Objective

After assessing their digital presence, it was clear the brand needed more than just better visuals—it needed a complete shift in social media marketing and how it connected with its audience.

 

The following objectives were set to strengthen their identity, refine their content direction, optimize their ad performance, and build genuine engagement with the community.

 

Each goal was put in place to solve the root cause that’s stopping their account from being one that drives awareness, trust, and measurable results.

Our Approach

To help the business expand their reach and boost brand awareness, we drilled down on the fixing the foundations of their Meta marketing.

1. Visual Identity Revamp

Without losing what makes the brand unique to its competitors, we opted for a slight shift in tone and adding contrast colors.

 

What started off as a saturated yellow background as the visual identity evolved into a mix of black and yellow that cements the “Auto” feel.

 

In it’s final form, we have the blue, a common a color symbolizing trust and reliability.

2. Content Type Revamp

Rather than sticking to the repetitive product catalog style post, we wanted to add more flair into the mix.

 

We settled on mainly content focusing on relatable car maintenance tips and accessories, sparking curiosity and discussion.

 

In addition to that, moving more towards video content that showcases their top in store products for a decent sales push.

3. Optimized Ad Spend

With a normal spend of $1000+ monthly on a few select post, we found that there is room for improvement for the media buying side of their Meta marketing.

 

We set out a goal internally. Limit the ad spend to $200 monthly for the next three months… or at least until we nail the content down.

 

From our past experience, we are confident to produce the results with only 1/5 of the budget to push for engagement.

Early Wins

Within the two months of us working together, we have seen significant improvement towards achieving our goals for this client.

1. Immediate Engagement Boost

Our first post under the new strategy achieved record breaking content interactions, most importantly the comments and shares.

 

This indicated strong customer interest on the wiper blades which corresponds to their best selling product.

2. Performance Consistency

We’re not looking for a one-hit-wonder. We wanted to see consistency in how the posts perform on both platforms throughout.

 

We have gotten the result by ensuring we’ve hit the weekly schedule and evenly spread out the ad budget across all posts.

 

Currently, their posts averages around 150+ total content interactions, with reels averaging around 30k+ views.

3. Content Variety Wins

Purely from comment engagement stand point. Certain content types on selected products appeals more to the masses.

 

We can take this as data and clear indication of which products to push and showcase more off for future content.

 

By relaying this information to the operations team, they are able to also focus on posting consistent stories and taking customer feedback related to those products.

4. Brand Recall Indicator

This is their content interaction trend line before and after we implemented our changes.

 

Increased interaction indicates that followers are connecting with the content, a positive early-stage indicator for brand growth.

 

While it is still too soon to conclude, but from our other clients, this is a good indicator that the brand remains top of mind for most.

Here are the metrics gathered over just 2 months of working with us and implementing the strategy:

Our Insights

While the complete revenue increase is not shared with us. The new change in content direction correlated to an increase in walk-in customers. This indicates that through branding awareness alone, it can lead to higher offline conversions for retail stores.
